Chengdu Experimental Foreign Languages School West Campus (CEFLSWC)
is an independent, co-educational boarding school honoring both
academic excellence and individuality. With its 400 devoted teaching
staff members, the school now enrolls about 3,600 students from
Junior One through Senior Three (Grades 7 through 12).
To prepare our students for a lifetime of learning, the school is
committed to providing a student-centered environment in which every
student can develop his or her potential ability. The teaching
objectives aim at cultivating students' character, promoting their
international awareness and creating appreciation of profound
Chinese culture by providing courses which are intellectually
challenging and well-balanced.
With their talent and diligence, CEFLSWC students have ranked first
in numerous exams and competitions of all levels for many times. The
graduates have been reaching their dreams and transforming their
education into a lifetime of success. Over the past eight years,
hundreds of our graduate students have got their further education
in top universities including Tsinghua University, Zhejiang
University and China Foreign Affairs University. Many students,
meanwhile, are pursuing their studies with full scholarships at
prestigious overseas universities such as Cornell, Lafayette,
University of Westminster, Salford, RMIT, Universite de Franche-Comte
and so on.
Since the appointment of our current principal Mr. Xiao Minghua, a
reputable veteran in the field of education, CEFLSWC has grown
steadily along with new facilities to support our students. To
provide our students with a supportive and nurturing environment,
the school has been moved to the current new campus in southern
Chengdu with an investment of over 700 million RMB Yuan and a
coverage of 380 Chinese Mu (63 acres ) in late 2009.
The new campus has 3 modernized teaching buildings with more than
100 classrooms, a science center, an art and music building,
computer labs, a lecture hall, a full-sized gymnasium, dining halls,
a standard sports field, tennis courts, 10 basketball courts and a
dormitory building. With the expansion of our facility, CEFLSWC is
now able to offer more comprehensive programs in art, music, foreign
language, physical education and science to support the need for
extracurricular activities and knowledge. The green trees and
flowers, campus TV station, high-speed Internet access also add
color and liveliness to the beautiful campus.
With its high-end facilities, committed teachers and its rapid
